Optimum Operationss of revealing the effects of hydrocarbon deposits were worked out:

Induced Polarization (IP) Operations

– is the basic Operations in Mining Geophysics for sulfide zone searching. It based on study of relaxing processes arising in geological medium after putting out an electric field, generated by current supply line. Even a negligible contents of sulfur compounds in sediments (pyrites or chalcopyrites for example) causes significant enlargement of residual rock polarization. This enlargement is surely logged by modern computing devices. Last years, mainly due to investigations of V.C. Moiseev - chief of electrical prospecting section of “CNIIGIMC” (Russia, Novosibirck), the reference between hydrocarbon deposits and pyrites enrichment zones above them within 200-400m near-surface depth interval independently of depth of hydrocarbon occurence were proved. So those investigations approved and founded the great deal of data given before about the references between hydrocarbon deposits and IP-anomalies (Appendix 6). The IP- Operations executes together with High Resolution Electromagnetic Survey (HRES).

Inducted Induced Polarization

Know-how technology TDEM-IIP aimed on detection of hydrocarbons deposit in an area and assessment of its occurrence depth. This invention is covered by patents N93041480 G01V3/08 dated August, 16th, 1993 and №67731 dated July, 2nd, 2007. Authors are  Nebrat A.G., Sochelnikov V.V.

Induced Polarization (IP) Operations – is the basic Operations in Mining Geophysics for sulfide zone searching. This enlargement is surely logged by modern computing devices.

The physical essence of IIP effect consists in the following. As a result of transient process the electric field in the conductive medium after switching a source on or off changes not sharply, and smoothly. The more depth of a layer, the there come changes later. There is an additional source of the induction polarization that leads to its change which in the beginning grows on absolute size, and then in process of attenuation of the additional source decreases. So there is the double induction  polarization DIP. And, the more depth of a polarized layer, the on later times it will be shown this layer in the DIP field.

Mathematically characteristic of IIP is represented in integrals of convolution of the transient field characteristic above not polarized medium and the dependence from the induction polarization of specific resistance of layers in time.

Second Seismo Electric Effect (SSEF)

The principal new technology of High Resolution Electromagnetic Survey, based on the new physical phenomenon discovered by the authors that allows to get geoelectric time sections similar to those of seismics (Patent N 93041480125 G 01 V 3/08 from 16/08/1993  and № 67 731 from 2/07/2007) It was approved on the base of experimental investigations that process of Electric Field Stabilisation follows at least by two sort of oscillatings, These are relatively low-frequency oscillatings (0.2-0.5Gz) diffluent with the lapse of time and more high-frequency ones (5-2500Gz) which practically keep frequency rate during full time or registration up to 10-15s. It was theoretically proved that the first sort of oscillatings conditioned by Inductive Induced Polarization (IIP) effect. The amplitude of oscillatings pro rata polarization coefficient.

The fact that hydrocarbon deposit has increased polarization in comparison with contained sediments was shown by V.A.Sidorov on  experiments with rock samples. The same results were given by V.C. Moiseev directly both in productive and empty wells..

Let us adduce one of examples of fetching IIP-effect out in “clear form” during exploration of gasohydrates, recovered by siesmoacoustics and bottom sediments probing within Kerch-Taman shelf of Black sea (Appendix 7). The depth level of gasohydrate occurence is – 1000 -1500 m, almost right under the sea floor so that above it uncontained obviously of pyrites accumulations water is only. The carried out investigations by two completely different outfits - the dipole with 1500m length set and symmetric with 200 m length set unambiguous showed gasohydrate event in IIP effects (A.G. Nebrat, V.V. Sochelnikov. Electrical prospecting by Time-domain elegtromagnetic soundigs (TDEM)  for polarizable mediums, GEOPHYSICS 6, 27-30,(1998). Thus, the IIP-anomaly is the effect of Inductive Induced Polarization from hydrocarbon deposit properly. Successful highlighting of this highly slight effect allows to forecast deep and plan position of hydrocarbon deposit directly.
