Soliton Ltd uses as standard industrial EM techniques as well own designed techniques of High Resolution Electromagnetic Operations.

Marine operations scheme 

 

The parameters of the source and receiver array values of induced polarization (IP), inductively-induced polarization (TEM-IIP), high-resolution seismic-electrical effects (TEM-SEF). For source and recording a combined setup consisting of a set of loaded, towed behind a ship lines forming a single-source field (line AB) is symmetric (line M1N1) and dipole (line M2N2) installation.

Generation of the electromagnetic field produced radiating antenna - feed line AB 500m from the water by passing a current in current electrode.

Joined signals - responses of the geological environment  receiving antennas was carried out  the lines MN 100 m.

To minimize the influence of induced polarization effects on the formation of the TEM signal in the dipole array offset  of 1300 meters was applied. The influence of the IP field for this installation, in accordance with the calculation does not exceed 1%at later times. 

Record length is selected by estimation of work area geoelectric characteristics and maximum depth of study that was determined by technical details.

Projected record length was: for work area 1 - 50-75 sec, 2 -50 sec, sector 3- 50 sec.

Fold number was 40 (5x8) impulses in one source point, relying on 5 passes through one profile.

EM field initiation was made every 250 meters with the special geophysical equipment. Receiver equipment registries geological media response. Current injection is one of possible work mode of source station.

Seven additional parameters were recorded on every SP.

They were recorded in data file after registration of main signal.
